She shared with Radio 1 Newsbeat, ‘I have always wanted to become a model, and when I finally achieved my dream, I felt blessed because I grew up being bullied and didn’t have many friends.’ Unfortunately, Demi’s parents passed away within just seven months of each other in 2019, and she had to face the challenge of being in lockdown after their deaths which became a time for her to reflect.
